Musicoz is a national initiative dedicated to improving the quality of original music culture in Australia. For the past 9 years Musicoz has been developing the music industry at the grass roots level by seeking out, recognising and encouraging the talents of unsigned and independent artists and providing them with much needed development support and opportunities as they carve out their careers.
About The Musicoz Awards
The National Musicoz Awards are billed in the media as the ARIA's for independent artists.The awards receive an amazing amount of exposure through the media as well as our presenting partners MTV, The National Nova Network, Street Press Australia, BigPond Music and Rova (Taxibacks) and Hot Country. Entrants are judged by the elite of the music and entertainment industry. In 2008, $180,000 prize pool was awarded to various winners with the Artist of the Year receiving over $75,000 worth. The Top 50 artists of each genre were marketed and exposed as the top of their class, per say, for 2008.
