Musicoz Voting Banners

Hi Musicoz Artists,

Some artists have experienced problems using the Musicoz Voting banners on their Myspace pages. It seems that sometimes the code works and for others it doesn't. So our friends at Techflare have come up with a solution . The new code below will definately work.

Just use this code instead of the old code.  Sorry for the inconvenience to those of you that have experienced this problem.

New Voting Banner Code

Please find instructions below: 

1.  Take the following html code and paste it into your web design (IN THE HTML VIEW)

Take care to copy and paste the entire code including all the symbols starting from < and ending with >

    2.  Go online and find your profile page. 

 (Go to www.musicoz.org/songs and then follow the links to your artist profile).  

3.  When you have found your page, have a look in the web address. 

It should start with http://www.musicoz.org/songs/artist_profile.aspx?artistID=
After the artist ID part, (AFTER THE = sign), select the remaining text...

THIS IS YOUR ARTIST ID.

FOR EXAMPLE:  The Vangarde

There entire profile address is http://www.musicoz.org/songs/artist_profile.aspxartistID=1848

THERE ARTIST ID WOULD BE:
1848 

4.  Take the artist ID and paste it into the original code

Paste the code where it says "ENTERYOURIDHERE".  The easiest way to do that is to select and copy your artist ID, and then go to the code and select the text ENTERYOURIDHERE and then paste directly over the top of it.  That way the words ENTERYOURIDHERE no longer exist in the code.

If you do paste it to the side, just delete the text afterwards but make sure you don't delete any of the code!!! 

5.  To personalise your banner

To make your banner display your own name, simply replace the text in the html code where it sais 'ENTERYOURNAMEHERE' with your artist or group name... i.e  The Vangarde

6.  Should look like this

Please note: SMS voting is only for the People's Choice SMS Vote Award, this is the only Musicoz Award that is public voted, all other awards are industry judged.

To vote for your favourite artist, simply SMS the  artist CODE and then a brief reason why you think they should win (in 10 words or less).  For example:

 XXXXX because they’re really cool   SMS your vote to 19708000 to register your vote!

 PLEASE, NO APOSTROPHIES COMMAS FULL STOPS OR DASHES ETC. when you vote for your favourite entry, or  your entry may be void.

The most creative answer will win a Maton Electric Guitar with case valued at $1,500. The artist with the most votes will win the People’s Choice National Musicoz Award for 2008.  Voting is reflected in the Musicoz Top 10/100 Charts.
