Australia's largest independent music awards program, The National Musicoz Awards, is now open for entries. Commonly referred to through-out the music industry and media as the independent(s) ARIA's, The National Musicoz Awards are now in its 9th year. Entries are sought in 17 genres including: Rock Pop Dance/Electronica Urban Country Alternative Acoustic/Singer-Songwriter Schoolies Video Metal/Hardcore World/Folk Live Jazz/Classical Blues/Roots International Instrumental Christian/Spiritual All the above categories are National Musicoz Awards. As well as this we have several other awards chosen from entries in the above categories: The Nova Unsigned Initiative Award The APRA Songwriter's Award Tony Mott Photography Award Garth Porter Producer Award People's Choice (Public Vote) Award, and The Musicoz Artist of the Year Award. NATIONAL INITIATIVE - NATIONAL EXPOSURE The Awards receive an amazing amount of exposure from the smallest to largest media platforms right across metro and regional Australia. In 2008, $180,000 prize pool was awarded to various winners excluding priceless media and exposure opportunities. The Musicoz Artist of the Year received over $75,000 worth of prizes, making it the largest individual prize for independent artists in Australia and vital to helping them become Australia's future major success stories. The Top 50 artists of each genre were also marketed and exposed as the top of their class, for 2008, creating profile and exposure to well over 800 of our best artists. AUSTRALIA'S LARGEST MUSIC PRIZE POOL As well as the prestige of winning an actual National Musicoz Award, we also have amassed well over $300,000+ worth of cash, prizes and industry opportunities for winners of our various awards in 2009.
